I was invited to give two cycles of 4 classes on visual identity development. Each class was 2 hours long. Each class began with a lecture about the narrative and promotional aspect of communication tools such as press photos, record covers, product design, posters and banners. In the second part of the class the students worked on mood boards communicating their ideas for the production of said tools to designers and other visual artists. We also spoke about genre and subcultural codes, how to create an over-arching identity for a project as well as how to create a merch line. The students did fantastic work!
